We survived Hurricane Irma and opened back up Tuesday and we wanted to say thanks to the Tuesday night dinner Volunteers and the special help provided by Restaurant Manager Paul and Assistant Mgr Joyce Varrone for getting all the food options ready on such short notice. Thanks also to Past Commander Tim Tierney and 1st Vice Commander Ellen Tierney, Post Commander Al Varrone and Joyce Varrone, David, Phylis, Mike and Carolyn. This team served up 183 meals in 2 hours.
We also want to think all those who helped getting the Lounge and Hall setup for another busy Tuesday night. Lounge Manager Eddie and his staff of bartenders and volunters from the House Committee were all very helpful in making the night go well.
Don't forget our monthly meeting Wednesday (today) at 630PM with Pizza and beverages available before the meeting starts.
Thanks to all. Commander Varrone
Quote from Post Commander Al Varrone, "Post 347 will close immediately after we receive announcement from Governor that Lake County has been placed under Hurricane Warning Status. Only essential personnel will be allowed into the Post."
